Display of the Book "Constitution of India" in the Library
Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, Udhampur
The Vidyalaya Library of Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, Udhampur organized a special book display on the "Constitution of India" to promote constitutional awareness among students. The objective of the display was to familiarize students with the values, principles, and ideals enshrined in the Constitution, which is the supreme law of the country.
During the activity, students were introduced to the Preamble, Fundamental Rights, Fundamental Duties, and the Directive Principles of State Policy. The librarian explained the significance of the Constitution, its role in safeguarding democracy, justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity, and how it guides the functioning of the nation. Students were encouraged to read the book to gain a deeper understanding of their rights and responsibilities as responsible citizens. The Constitution establishes the framework of the Government of India and embodies the ideals on which the nation is built.
The display generated great interest among students, who actively interacted with the books and asked questions about the making of the Constitution and the contributions of the members of the Constituent Assembly. Such library initiatives help inculcate constitutional values, develop civic awareness, and inspire students to uphold the democratic principles of the nation.
The programme concluded with a message encouraging every student to read and respect the Constitution of India and to contribute positively towards building a just, inclusive, and responsible society.
